The terms and conditions
outlined below specifically apply to customers who submit directory entries for inclusion in the BasingBusiness
directory, events directory and / or who elect to purchase the BasingBusiness Mini-web package (and
are in addition to the standard Terms and
Conditions of Netpark Ltd).
Directory Entries
BasingBusiness.com offers contact details for businesses and organisations in the (01256)
area code. By submitting the contact details of your business / organisation (which
include address, phone number and/or e-mail address) you hereby grant consent for such
information to be included in the online BasingBusiness.com directory, for the purposes of
advertising. This information will be viewable by anyone with an internet connection.
Standard entry
submissions are completely free of charge (though you have the option of paying for an
expanded preferential listing if you so choose). Standard entries are limited to 30 words
of plain text for the description. Preferential listings are limited to 60 words for the
description and may also include basic text emphasis (bold and/or italic only).
Text Layout formats, Font styles and colour changes, are performed entirely at the
discretion of Netpark Ltd. and are not provided as part of either standard or preferential
directory listings.
Apart from the purposes of the online directory, submission information provided to
BasingBusiness.com will not be sold or passed to any third party (such as direct
marketing organisations) without your express written permission.
NETPARK LIMITED is registered with the Data Protection Registrar as Data Controller
#Z5849510. Under the terms of the Data Protection Act, you may request a copy of
your business details held in our directory database at any time and may also request the
amendment of any information or the removal of your business details entirely.
In order to ensure that
entries to the BasingBusiness.com directory are limited to the Basingstoke / North
Hampshire area, submissions that include a mobile phone number MUST also include a
legitimate (01256) phone number. Entries supplied without a legitimate (01256)
area code phone number will be rejected.
Additionally, directory submissions
which include a website address (URL) must also:-
- Ensure the specified URL loads
quickly and completely (the specified web page must display initial text within 30
seconds, based on a 56K dial-up connection and should load completely within 1 minute).
- Ensure the specified URL includes
a "skip intro" or "HTML version" option or similar mechanism, where
non-HTML web development methods (such as the use of Macromedia Flash) are employed as
part of the design, in order to avoid the need for users to download plug-ins.
- Ensure the specified URL does NOT
include the use of "cookies" or similar mechanisms which are subsequently used
to gather client information or to execute "pop-ups" (although the use of
cookies to provide/store login information on behalf of visitors is permitted).
Netpark Ltd. reserve the
right to refuse entry to BasingBusiness.com directory to any business, organisation or
individual for any reason, without recourse.

Event Entries
BasingBusiness.com offers free
and pay-per-entry event submission facilities for businesses and individuals hosting
events in Basingstoke.
Events are divided into two
categories:
Non-profit events (both
commercial and non-commercial) such as family fun days, charity fundraisers and business
recruitment drives and open days are advertised free of charge. Please note
that commercial organisations are restricted to an event submission description of no more
than 175 words per event (charities, good-cause groups, schools and hospitals
are permitted 250 words per event)
Commercial events are defined as
events which make money in terms of ticket sales, entry fees or which involve the sale of
merchandise, by commercial companies and/or organisations.
Commercial events are chargeable at a rate of: £1+VAT per event, per day. Fees are
payable (in advance) for an agreed/defined time period for each event. Please give a
minimum of 14 days notice for upcoming events.
Events are sorted and displayed in
chronological order, (on a daily or monthly basis as defined by the site visitor)
regardless of whether the event is either a non-profit or commercial event. No placement
or positional preference of events is currently available.
Netpark Ltd. reserve
the right to refuse entry to the
BasingBusiness.com Events directory to any business, organisation or individual
for any reason, without recourse.
Netpark Ltd further reserves the right to edit all material submitted as an event entry,
to meet space requirements or to exclude potentially offensive material (see Mini-Web Material below).
Please note that edited material
will be supplied to you for approval, prior to publication and your event will not be
published until your written approval (in the form of an e-mail generally will suffice)
has been received. If approval is not forthcoming within 7 days of dispatch, the
event submission will be deemed to have been cancelled.
Commercial entries will
automatically expire at the end of the applicable event expiry date and may only be
re-enabled following payment (at the standard daily rate-per-entry) for an agreed
extension period.

Mini-Web Material Terms
BasingBusiness.com clients may not include material on their Mini-Web (or links to
any external site) that contains:-
- Sexually explicit or pornographic material.
- Material of a racist or sexist nature.
- Material that promotes (or may reasonably be perceived to promote)
any form of antisocial behaviour and/or illegal activity.
- Material that brings (or is reasonably perceived to bring) the
BasingBusiness website into disrepute.
Netpark Ltd. reserve the right to refuse entry to BasingBusiness.com to any individual or
company for any reason, without recourse.
Netpark Ltd. reserve the right to include links (both text and graphics-based) from the
clients Mini-Web to the main BasingBusiness website and vice versa.

Virus Protection
While every effort is made to ensure that all material uploaded onto the BasingBusiness
website (including but not limited to the material on all client Mini-Webs and all
additional BasingBusiness website material) is virus-free, Netpark Ltd. can accept no
responsibility for occurrences of any form of virus within any file, document or component
of the BasingBusiness website.
All material supplied by the client for inclusion on their Mini-Web will be virus-checked
by Netpark ltd. prior to inclusion in the clients Mini-Web. Netpark Ltd. reserve the
right of refusal for material which fails anti-virus interrogation.

Mini-Web Maintenance Terms
Maintenance specified as part of the BasingBusiness package is limited to changes/updates
to information contained within the clients Mini-Web such as address/contact
information, phone/fax numbers and changes to text/graphics at the discretion of Netpark
Ltd.
Major Mini-Web changes such as redesign of the Mini-Web involving graphics, customised
artwork, additional forms or pages and/or client-requested changes to the overall design
of the clients Mini-Web fall outside this definition and are subject to additional
charges.
Additional maintenance-time that falls outside the amount of maintenance time specified in
the quote, is chargeable at Netparks standard hourly rate +VAT (minimum of 1 hour).
Mini-Webs are automatically submitted to a list of website search engines on a
once-per-quarter basis as part of the BasingBusiness Mini-Web package. Additional
submissions required by individual clients are subject to additional costs and are
chargeable at Netparks standard hourly rate +VAT (minimum of 1 hour).

Server Maintenance Terms
The server used by Netpark Ltd. is supplied by Communitech (USA) and is additionally
subject to their terms and conditions. From time to time, the web server used to host the
BasingBusiness website (and all client Mini-Webs therein) may occasionally require
essential maintenance which may facilitate some level of scheduled downtime. While every
effort is made to ensure that clients are made aware of this scheduled downtime, Netpark
Ltd. can accept no responsibility for any loss of client income, resulting from server
downtime.
Server downtime (scheduled or unscheduled) of less than 12-hours-per-incident may not
be reclaimed from Netpark Ltd. either in terms of any form of refund, or extension of
service by way of compensation.
Server downtime incidents (scheduled or unscheduled) of more than 12-hours will be
reimbursed by Netpark Ltd in the form of service extension on the basis of one day per
individual incident.

Payment Terms
Once a Mini-Web package and
quote is agreed upon by both parties, the client is requested to sign the enclosed
contract agreeing with the services to be provided and our Terms and Conditions. On
signing, an initial (non-refundable) deposit of 25% is payable before work commences on
the client's Mini-Web.
Balance of payment (minus the initial deposit and any applicable discounts as well as the
addition of any applicable extra functions/facilities/design work specifically requested
by the client) must be paid to Netpark Ltd before the Mini-Web is uploaded to the
BasingBusiness.com website.
Placement on the BasingBusiness website and banner advertising services, included in the
BasingBusiness package, commence officially on the day the completed Mini-Web is uploaded
onto the BasingBusiness server and run for 365 days (or the term agreed within the signed
quote/contract) from thereon.
Payments for commercial events
must be paid in advance for the agreed duration.
All payments are subject to VAT
at 17.5%.
BasingBusiness packages
are sold on a non-refundable basis (in whole or in part).
